White and green, marble, nature and peace: from 10 to 19 June White Carrara is preparing to light up the summer. The event organized by Imm presents itself with respect in a renewed guise, and not only because it has got rid of the suffix downtown, but because "it wants to propose a different way of doing fair".The event that will start in just over two weeks is the direct descendant of that Carrara Marble weeks conceived as a sparkling off-hall of the Marmotec, the marble fair once a symbol of the city, and the very reason for which the Imm 40 and more was born. years ago, but has long since ended up in oblivion."The marble fair is now done elsewhere - the sole director of Imm Sandra Bianchi cuts short -, our task now is to confront the companies and understand what they would like. This edition of White Carrara, on the other hand, does not has an exclusively cultural value. We have already received requests from several Turkish buyers who will come to the city to deal with our companies. It is a way to undertake a different path than in the past, creating repercussions for the territory also from an economic point of view starting from art and culture and no longer vice versa ".An approach that hopefully will bear fruit in the years to come, but in the meantime the new edition of White Carrara is upon us and yesterday it was baptized at the Academy not only by Bianchi, but also by the director of the Prince's palace Luciano Massari , by the president of the CrC Foundation Enrico Isoppi, by the councilors for Commerce and Culture Daniele Del Nero and Federica Forti and by the curator Emma Castè."This will be the edition of the restart. A wonderful showcase for the city" said Del Nero looking at a truly rich program that will see not only Piazza Alberica transform into a large Italian garden designed by Giorgio Tesi, but will see 17 artists as protagonists and 21 works, 10 exhibitions, 9 book presentations, 8 cultural walks in the historic center, 4 itineraries to discover the artistic workshops, 6 musical events over the two weekends, 5 conferences and talk shows, not to mention the students of the Academy who will sculpt outdoors, concerts, talk shows with prominent guests such as Donatella Diamanti and Lucrezia Massari and much more."We will take our teaching out of the classrooms through en plein air painting and sculpture lessons - explains Massari -. Then there will be the meeting between the international artist Franko B. and the students from which an original artistic performance will emerge".Historical Super Tuscans: 94.5 / 100 is the overall rating reserved for 16 wines from historic vintages by Italian and international criticsCouncilor Nardini: "Ours is a land of rights, this is our DNA, we are proud to have often been a forerunner in the course of our history"Do you already have an account?Log in
