Following a pioneering spirit, a trademark in creative opulence and an artistic approach to design, Inkiostro Bianco continues to adorn walls and floors. For the 60th edition of the Salone Del Mobile, during the Milan Design Week 2022, the Italian luxury brand unveiled their latest collection of wall coverings in collaboration with Lucchesedesign Studio in an immersive exhibition, alongside the second series of rugs for their Ink.Rugs segment. The fresh designs were presented as part of Inkiostro Bianco's exhibition City, wherein the visitors were invited to try out the brand’s creativity in the showroom of its new headquarters in Fiorano Modenese, Modena. The immersive experience was reminiscent of the brand's creative potential through products, ideas, inspirations and relationships with different architects and designers.

Putting limelight on Lineadeko 2022, the new Groove Collection was presented in collaboration with architect Francesco Lucchese, the founder of Lucchesedesign Studio. Furthermore, Synaesthesia II was also presented as an extension of Ink.Rugsーan original rug brand from the creative universe of Inkiostro Bianco.

The new Groove collection combines the language of art and architecture in a series of graphic designs interpreted by Inkiostro Bianco and Lucchesedesign Studio. The inspirations bring to the material a three-dimensional visual effect marked by the rhythmic succession of signs and harmonies told using the language of sound, in the interpretation developed by Inkiostro Bianco, and that of architectural surfaces in the interpretation of Lucchesedesign Studio.

Meeting with architect Francesco Lucchese spurred further development for Lineadeko. From his experience as a product designer come new insights that have led to the redefinition of the product concept as well as to an interpretation of the product that opens up to an innovative evolution and new uses.

Groove stands for the rhythm carved into the grooves of a 45-rpm disk, where magic is engraved. Silences, pauses and chord successions in perfect harmony. Groove is also the alternation of light and shade that, in architecture, simulates a rhythm of empty and full volumes that embellish surfaces. Rhythm and three-dimensionality are the leitmotifs of the eight new graphic designs featured in the collection.

INK.RUGS is a brand with a strong and original personality. The pay-off Touch the Experience is an invitation to experience the product with the senses. INK.RUGS products have the features of a modern flying carpet: they do not judge but fulfil wishes.

Synaesthesia II is the new rug collection that INK.RUGS presented at the Salone del Mobile 2022. It is an experience of simultaneous perception, a process that consists of the spontaneous and non-rational overlapping of different senses. After the first collection characterised by bright colours and lively subjects, INK.RUGS continues the synaesthetic experience with a more refined, and at times minimalist line, which examines nuanced languages, perceptive contrasts, and even strong ones, but always maintains a harmonious balance of colours and shapes. For its 13 new rugs, Synaesthesia II features elements that you would not expect to find on a rug, such as wood, paper, cement or stone.

The surprise effect is what the brand is aiming for: to deceive the eye of the observers, prompting them to ask "...is this really a rug?" and perhaps even to reach out a hand to have a tactile confirmation of the object in front of them. Real synaesthesia!

Climbing aboard an INK.RUGS product will allow you to see with your mind and carve out small spaces of serenity in harmony with your surroundings and your passions.
