If there’s one leading marble company in India whose name is synonymous with ultimate craftsmanship, world-class quality and utmost attention to detail, it is A-Class Marble. It not only offers versatility and premium choices of marble and stone for bespoke interiors and exteriors, but also constantly innovates to cater to varying tastes and trends.
Their journey began in the small town of Makrana, Rajasthan, 50 years ago. Today, they have a global presence and represent unparalleled excellence and quality. Here’s how they achieved this unique status.
The story began in 1971, when Roopchand Bhandari purchased the first marble factory in Makrana, Rajasthan. With his vision and unrelenting determination, he established a new marble empire and set a benchmark for premium Indian marble.
His son Raichand Bhandari with his passion and perseverance took on the challenge soon after and helped in expansion that led to exponential growth.
Later, he added new dimensions to the business and continued the legacy along with his two sons: Rajesh and Ramesh Bhandari by establishing A-Class Marble in 2005. With their vision to bring the world’s most magnificent collections of marble and stone to India, they promised to deliver top-class quality products, and rapidly expanded the business by launching luxurious showrooms, stockyards, and offering global products across India. The rest, as they say, is history.
The company launched its pristine collection of Vietnam White marble, quarried from Vietnam, in 2005. Later, more colours and textures of Italian marble, stone, granite, limestone, quartzite, semi-precious stone and other architectural surfaces were added to the collection. Today, the company showcases 12 bespoke collections that includes Signature – Premium Marble, Pristine – White Marble, Exotica – Artistic Stones, Opera – Backlit Onyx, and Avant-Garde – Bespoke textured stone.
In 2017, A-Class Marble successfully ventured into the new-age materials like large format of porcelain slabs by Fiandre and limited-edition artistic slabs by Fuoriformatio from Italy. They also introduced their own brand 1st Tile, a “Made in India” product range of honed finish slabs in 2018.
In the present day, the company offers more than 550 varieties of marble and stone like Statuario, Thasos White, Bronze Amani, Michel Angelo, Panda White, Blue Onyx, Amazonite, Sodalite, Statuario Moon face & Grego Venezia that are suited for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, highlighter walls, dining table, bar counter, facades and other interior and exterior spaces.
These masterpieces are handpicked from many quarries and brands from more than 40 countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France, Turkey, Vietnam, and other geographies across the world.
In 2005, A-Class started its journey with only 3 employees with its first showroom in Rajouri, New Delhi. Today, the company has an employee strength of over 345 and owns a state-of-the-art production unit along with breathtaking showroom spread over 10,00,000 Sq. Ft. in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, a first-one-of-its-kind smart showroom “A-Class Atelier” in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and a dynamic and luxurious showroom spread over 1,20,000 Sq. Ft. in New Delhi. Working with a long list of distinguished clients, designers and architects globally, A-Class successfully conforms a broad spectrum of building typologies by crafting masterpieces of inimitable elegance.
Along with a globally rising demand for luxurious marble and stone, A-Class has evolved with time by exploring new ways of using marble and stone. Conventionally, marble was used mainly in flooring, accent walls, and the bathroom. Designers today are exploring more unique avenues like furniture, panels, facades and more. As home designs continue to evolve, A-Class keeps reinventing marble to meet the contemporary design grammar. Prominent architects and interior designers regard A-Class Marble as an epitome of luxury and use it in luxury homes, farmhouses, hotels, showrooms, corporate offices, clubs, malls and various other typologies.
A-Class Marble has been at the forefront of constant innovation. They invest in premium craftsmanship with revolutionary StrenInn Technology to provide clients with bespoke luxury surfaces.
The StrenInn process is used for block reinforcement, where the marble blocks undergoes a vacuum process to increase the strength and durability of the block. The reinforced blocks are then cut as per the international dimensions. Each marble slab undergoes double Italian epoxy process to boost its density and strength. Breton Polishing machinery is used to enhance the shine and lustre of the marble resulting in endless choices of bespoke finishes and textures like Leather, Diamond, Honed, and Polished, to name a few. The complete process takes place at the state-of-the-art processing unit at Kishangarh, Rajasthan.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic where the whole world was facing many challenges, they expanded their digital presence by knowledge-sharing about Stone and its multiple uses by organizing live sessions with top architects and designers under the initiative #LetsTalkDesign and The Chat Trap – A Candid Talk Show. Recently in 2021, A-Class has been associated with AD 100 where specially curated Statuario marble trophy was presented for the top 100 architects and designers of India.
“2021 is just a stepping stone for the many leaps we aspire to take in the future,” said Raichand Bhandari, Managing Director of A-Class Marble. “Since the inception of A-Class, we’ve adhered to excellence in quality, offering impeccable services and curating dreams with luxury. Our success lies when we continue to do so for the upcoming generations with the same diligence.”
When it comes to the choice of marble and stone, A-Class Marble is a one-stop-destination for unique and bespoke collection of rare marble, stone, granite and other architectural surfaces.
