Calzolari Pro Monte Caprione association organized a fact-finding visit on the work done in recent months.Present were the president of the Parco del Magra, Eleonora Landini, the mayors of Ameglia, Umberto Galazzo, and Lerici, Leonardo Paoletti, numerous councilors.Also belonging to the group is Pietro Tedeschi, former president of the Park."The visit - says Tedeschi in an intervention - led us to the discovery and enhancement of the Barbarasco site, unknown to me and brought to light from the dense bush by the voluntary work of the members of the association, which involved about twenty youngsters, boy scout of Piacenza.The site, a real town just above the Golden Butterfly, has brought to light very interesting water sources and canalizations of the same, which take us far, far back in time.Perhaps here, as explained by the president of the association Attilio Bencaster, the secretary Gino Cabano and the director Dr.Sergio Mancini, there was the first residential and productive settlement of the Monte, located above the religious site of the butterfly;all this will be verified with further studies and insights.The visit then continued on the path, also cleaned, which leads to the portoro quarries - it seems that in the maximum splendor there were 26 - then we stopped at a particular Cavaneo, also discovered with the cleaning of the paths, which alone worth a visit.To finish we arrived at the church of San Lorenzo and at the site of the butterfly, which rewarded us, for a few minutes, given the cloudy weather yesterday, with its representation "."I want to thank the association for the important research work it is carrying out both from a naturalistic and historical / cultural point of view, but also the administrations, Park and Municipalities, in the hope that sooner or later the presence of Arcola will also mature, which they are supporting the operation of the association and their important results.This last consideration is important and fundamental to deepen and know what is beautiful and historical there is still to be discovered and valued.I believe that my friend Professor Enrico Calzolari would be proud of what he has done in continuity with his studies and discoveries ”, concludes Tedeschi.Copyright © - 2022 - Publisher: Liguria News Srl - PI 01383400114Newspaper registered in the Press Register of the Court of La Spezia.RAA 59/04, Conc 5376, Reg.
