F. Beth Stone, 91, formerly of Birmingham, died on December 17, 2021, in Evansville, Indiana, where she had lived and worked as a Psychologist for many years. She was the daughter of Isaac (Ike) and Lena Chancellor Stone and had belonged to the Fairfield Methodist Church during her youth and early adulthood. Beth graduated from Fairfield High School in 1946 and from Birmingham Southern College in 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Mary Farr Stone Hamby (Warren) of Birmingham. Beth is survived by her nieces and nephews, Warren C. Hamby Jr. (Burma) of Alabaster, Alabama, Barbara Hamby Adkins (Sonny) of Harpersville, Alabama, Jan Hamby Piper of Auburndale, Florida, and Michael M. Hamby of Childersburg, Alabama; great-nephews, Creedon Chancellor Stone, Edward Andrew Piper, and Samuel Lee Hamby; great-great-nephew, Elijah Chancellor Stone. A celebration of life will take place at 1:30 p.m. on June 25, 2022 at Patchwork Central, 100 Washington Ave, Evansville IN. Memorial gifts may be made to Patchwork Central.
