WESTFIELD — American Legion Post 124 Adjutant and Bugler Steve White, an Air Force veteran who served from 1977 to 1986, has been invited to participate in “One Hundred Nights of Taps” in Gettysburg, Pa., this summer.

Beginning on Memorial Day and running through Labor Day, the notes of taps — the traditional military melody played at lights-out and at funerals — will be sounded every evening in Gettysburg in honor of those who served the nation.
