by Jara SB Tuesday 12 April, 2022, 15:43 6.8k ViewsA new edition of Casa Decor arrives.Lovers of interior design, design and the luxury of the ephemeral, have an appointment at Calle Goya Nº 89 in Madrid.A new building to house this edition with a total of 57 spaces.The tour runs through six floors of the building, which take the visitor on a sensory journey through diverse and surprising environments.Each space tells a unique story and shows a new housing concept, where materials, products, furniture and textiles materialize the inspiration and idea of ​​the project.In this edition, more than one hundred interior designers, architects, designers, landscapers, artists and craftsmen have gathered, who have worked in collaboration with 160 national and international companies, to show the avant-garde of trends, with design and technology. most advanced of the moment.After a period of rapid transformations, trends that have been projected in recent years are established, although evolving towards new aesthetic approaches.Thus, organic and natural environments, serene and monochrome, are renewed with deeper tones, such as the range of blues or the reddish tones of terracotta.The powdery and matte finishes are applied in soft shades, such as pale pink, aqua green or sky blue.The use of mineral materials for wall cladding and furniture design is accentuated, with metallic and coppery finishes that appear on the surface.The brutalist aspect of cement is softened with warm and enveloping interior designs, creating an eclectic effect that navigates between the industrial and the highest sophistication.Round shapes, a resource widely used in designs in recent years, are present in walls with sinuous undulations, walls without edges, semicircular arches, curved seats, circular tables or irregular ovals.The roundlo effect encompasses everything.Natural and sintered stone, hallmark of modern interior design, continues to occupy a privileged place in this aesthetic of luxury, and expands its projection in all kinds of applications.Backlit onyx and alabaster gain positions, while Calacatta marble, with its dark veining on white canvas, is preferred for large surfaces.Light wood is still a constant in current decorations, both in furniture and coatings.The wooden slats maintain their deserved prominence and go up to the ceilings, while the floors of the building, made of Balsaín pine, recover their original state based on sanding and natural primers.More than ever, traditional materials, such as brick, clay or lime, share the limelight with terrazzo floors, ceramic objects, rope, leather or bamboo, endowing the interiors with great craftsmanship.Especially noteworthy has been the manual application of these materials in situ, as well as the murals, trompe l'oeil and other techniques carried out directly on the wall by a good number of participating interior designers and artists.The proposals of the 57 spaces are surprising for their diversity, both in aesthetics and in the concept of the project.Thus, we discover extremely modern and current spaces, but with a nostalgic sixties point, which transports us to retro-futuristic settings located in a desert or in a spaceship.Within this diversity, we find environments of great classical beauty, serene and elegant, which offer the visitor a high-end aesthetic perspective.Bathrooms, kitchens and, of course, living rooms are the rooms that most often lend themselves to technological innovation and home automation, integrated into refined and cosmopolitan environments.It is worth noting the trend inspired by the Hamptons style, based on clear environments full of light, where washed wood objects and touches of ultramarine blue stand out in accessories and textiles.Parallel to the residential proposals of this edition, the conceptual spaces invite us to immerse ourselves in sensory and unprecedented worlds: deserts, jungles, hammams, temples...
