Earlier this year, Adriana Lima’s billionaire next-door neighbor paid a whopping $40 million for her Miami mansion. Now the flush-with-cash Brazilian supermodel is switching coasts and landing in Los Angeles, where records show she’s shelled out north of $12 million for a brand-new Brentwood home.

Never officially offered for sale and completed this year by a developer, the 7,500-square-foot mansion had been quietly marketed as a “transitional farmhouse,” as opposed to the more typical modern farmhouse-style build found around the city. Set behind gates on a prime street, the home’s open living spaces include high ceilings and custom lighting fixtures throughout, accented by decadent slabs of Calacatta marble and warm oak paneling.

The front door opens to a long hallway with clear views of the backyard through walls of glass. To the immediate right lies a formal dining area serviced by a convenient wet bar, and there are also two kitchens — one for “show” with two marble-topped islands and sleek Miele appliances, the other a smaller “hidden” unit where the real cooking — smells and all — is intended to take place. Custom cabinets and a pantry offer plenty of storage.

There’s also a living room with a marble fireplace, plus an open family room with snazzy backlit bookshelves. Upstairs, the primary bedroom includes views of the backyard and surrounding treetops, and the unusually huge second-floor balcony offers numerous possibilities for entertaining.

Five ensuite bedrooms are scattered throughout the main house; the far southwest corner of the lot holds a detached guesthouse with one additional bedroom and bathroom. A 45-foot pool is flanked by a bar, fire-pit and BBQ center. The back lawn is drought-tolerant AstroTurf, and the property spans a flat third of an acre, relatively generous for this part of town. Other fancy estate amenities include a movie theater, gym area and a walk-in, refrigerated wine closet.

Lima and her fiancée Andre Lemmers, both 41, previously resided in a rented Santa Monica home near the popular Brentwood Country Mart shopping/dining destination. The ex-Victoria’s Secret Angel also long owned a multimillion-dollar condo in New York City, though that Midtown Manhattan unit was sold off a few years ago.
